My five priority areas of focus include . . .

• Public Safety is a key focus because it directly affects the quality of life, economic stability and overall well-being of our community.  When residents feel safe in their neighborhoods, schools, workplaces and public spaces, they are more likely to participate in community activities, and support local businesses.   Strong public safety efforts also help prevent crime, reduce emergency response times ensuring our community receives the protection and support they need and deserve.  

• Infrastructure / Traffic Congestion  - As our city continues to grow, we need a forward-thinking plan that keeps infrastructure and traffic congestion at the center of local decision-making. Growth should be managed responsibly, with road improvements, intersection upgrades, signal timing, public safety access, parking, and transportation options planned before problems become overwhelming. I support a citywide approach that coordinates new development with the infrastructure needed to serve it, protects neighborhoods from unnecessary traffic impacts, and invests in safer routes for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, and emergency responders. By planning ahead and prioritizing smart infrastructure, we can reduce congestion, improve safety, support local businesses, and preserve the quality of life that makes our city a desirable place to live.

• Local control and Government Transparency are important to Murrieta because the people who live here should have a clear voice in the decisions that affect their neighborhoods, roads, public safety, growth, and quality of life. Residents deserve open communication, accessible information, and a city government that listens, explains its decisions, and remains accountable to the community. By keeping decision-making local and transparent, Murrieta can ensure that policies reflect the needs and priorities of its residents rather than outside interests or one-size-fits-all solutions.

• Economic Development is essential to responsible growth in Murrieta because it creates local jobs, strengthens our tax base, supports small businesses, and helps provide the revenue needed for public safety, infrastructure, parks, and community services. A strong local economy allows residents to work closer to home, reduces long commutes, and keeps more spending within our community. As Murrieta grows, we should focus on attracting quality employers, supporting entrepreneurs, revitalizing commercial areas, and encouraging development that fits the character and needs of our city. By promoting smart economic development, we can create opportunities while preserving Murrieta’s quality of life.

• Parks and Recreation facilities are essential to a healthy and thriving community because they provide safe places for families, children, seniors, and residents of all ages to gather, exercise, play, and connect. As Murrieta continues to grow, we must invest in well-maintained parks, sports fields, trails, community centers, and recreational programs that support active lifestyles and strengthen neighborhood connections. Expanding access to quality recreation improves public health, enhances quality of life, and creates community pride. By prioritizing parks and recreation as part of responsible growth, Murrieta can remain a vibrant, family-friendly city where residents have opportunities to enjoy and engage with their community.
